Today is my last day at my current job. I'll have a weekend, then jump right into my new job on Monday.
It's incredibly bittersweet. I cried last night. "They" say you shouldn't make friends at work, but really... how can you avoid that when you see these people more than you see your spouse during the work week? You laugh together, you cry together, you celebrate milestones together, you mourn losses together. Sometimes you just can't control whether you think of these people as friends.
I have never before been so upset about leaving a job, but so excited about starting the new one at the same time.
I'm gonna go cry now.
