Updates
Since I haven't been around much, I've got some updates:
Signed paperwork to redo the evil loan shark loan.
I'm feeling better, but there was a possibility I'd been exposed to whooping cough, so I went on a hella high dose of antibiotic that made me sick. Stopped taking antibiotic and started to cough again. Debating whether to start taking them again, or ask my doctor for something different. I'll give it a few more days.
I got some updated information about the job. The two reasons I said "no" are now gone. It turns out that the insurance is $250 per month, NOT per paycheck (which is only just slightly more than I pay now), and the office is not moving. I have to give them a yes or no by tomorrow. At this point, I'm thinking I'd be stupid not to take it. Plus it would save me about $200 a month in gas.
Now I'm even happier I bought that skirt and the linen pants. If I take this job, I'll need some wardrobe additions. I'll have to dress a little bit better than I do in my current position.
We got a loan to consolidate everything but the evil loan shark loan. This loan will save us $50-$70 a month over the cost of the separate monthly payments. Combined with the other loan we just paid off, and the money saved in gas if I take this new job, we'll be just fine after years of financial worries. It's a wonderful feeling.
I might see my mom on Saturday! She's leaving today to visit her sister in Indiana and they have tentative plans to go to Chicago for the day on Saturday. Chicago's about a 3 hour drive from here, so we'll see. UPDATE!!! Bryan's up for going to Chicago on saturday, so if mom and aunt wind up going, I'll get to see my mom!!! Wheeeee!!!!
