If I needed retail therapy before last night, I need it no longer. Piggly Wiggly for groceries, Wal-Mart and Shopko for other stuff that we needed (this was not a pleasure trip, though the act of filling the cart in itself was pleasurable). Two and a half hours. And then I came home, tidied up the bedroom and helped the hub with our outside Christmas lights. Didn't get to bed until almost midnight.
Lemme tell you, 5:00 AM comes WAY too quickly after not having gone to sleep until midnight.
Oh, and please don't get on my case for shopping at Wal-Mart. I do honestly believe that it's at least semi-responsible for the trend of the rich getting richer and the poor getting poorer, but... for how much I bought it probably saved me at least $20.00, which is desperately needed right now. It's only a maybe twice-a-year thing - I can't bear to drag myself in there much more often than that. Oh, and we still had a gift card that we got for our wedding that we hadn't used yet.
